Who doesn’t love dessert after food? when we talk about food it can you lift up the spirit instantly with their simple flavours. there are some desserts which do not require any fancy plating. There they are best when they are simple. One such dessert is custard it comes with many flavours and we can make a lot of new simple desserts from it.

There are many ways we can digest the custard at conferred of our being. Let’s try some! So here are the easiest and best custard recipes:-
Caramel is loved by a lot of people and adding it to a simple dessert, it just makes the day! So for making Caramel Custard, all you need is 1-1/2 cups sugar, divided 6 large eggs
3 cups whole milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Method: In a large heavy saucepan, cook and stir 3/4 cup sugar over low heat until sugar is melted and golden. Pour into eight 6-oz. custard cups, tilting to coat bottom of the cup; let stand for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs, milk, vanilla and remaining sugar until blended but not foamy. Pour over caramelized sugar.
Place the cups in two 8-in. square baking pans. Pour very hot water in pans to a depth of 1 in. Bake at 350° until a knife inserted in the centre comes out clean, 40-45 minutes. Remove from pans to cool on wire racks.
To unmold, run a knife around rim of the cup and invert onto dessert place. Serve warm or chilled.
It is such an easy recipe for a dessert that can be made for get-togethers and parties. It’s so simple that you have to put everything together if you have all the ingredients ready! To make Custard Trifle, you need jam, thick creamy custard and whipped cream. Also, you can add some mixed fruits and vanilla Slice cake to it.
Method: Cut Cake into small pieces.
Add and mix Jam with fruits and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Fold 1 cup whipped cream in custard. Do not overbeat it.
Arrange cake pieces in serving bowls, layer it with a tbsp of fruits, top with custard layer and repeat the layers depending on the dish used or your preference.
Top with more fruits and whipped cream topping, refrigerate till serving time and enjoy!!
Custard Cake is made for the flavour of custard and texture of the cake and believe me it’s yum! All you need is 4 eggs – room temperature.
3/4 cup of caster sugar
125 grams of melted butter 1/2 cup
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3/4 cup of plain flour – sifted
2 cups of milk – lukewarm 500 mls
1/4 cup of icing sugar to decorate.Method: Preheat your oven to 170 degrees and line a 20cm square cake tin with baking paper, making sure to leave plenty of paper hanging over the sides.
Separate your eggs and place the egg whites into a CLEAN and DRY bowl – this is very important and beat using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Set the egg whites aside until needed.
Place the egg yolks and caster sugar together in a large bowl and use an electric mixer to beat until they have combined and are light and frothy.
With the electric mixer still going on low speed, gradually add the melted butter and vanilla extract before adding the sifted flour a few spoonfuls at a time.
Gradually add the lukewarm milk and continue to beat on a low- medium speed to combine all of the ingredients.
Add the egg whites to the bowl and gently fold together the mixture.
Pour the batter into your prepared cake tin and place into your preheated oven and cook for 35 minutes or until a golden crust has formed on top of your cake.
Crunchy Apple Custard
It gives you an immense flavour of custard, crunchiness and apple. It is healthy also and easy to make too! For this you need 3 tsp custard powder, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp milk to prepare the custard, 2 cups milk, 1 tsp sugar, this is the custard mix. For the Apple mixture 1apple, 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar
- For the custard-mixture: In a bowl, add custard powder, sugar and milk.
- Mix it well and keep it aside.
- To prepare the custard: Heat milk in a non-stick pot.
- Boil the milk for 2 minutes and add sugar and the custard mixture.
- Mix it well until the milk thickens.
- For the apple mixture: Heat a pan.
- Add slices of apples, sugar and water.
- Mix it well and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.
- In a baking bowl, spread the prepared apple mixture for the base.
- Place the custard mixture over it and sprinkle brown sugar.
- Preheat the oven at 200’C and bake it for 15 minutes.
- Your apple custard is ready to be served.
