1. What The Folks

The saas-bahu serials are often guilty of presenting a world where family members are either constantly bickering or plotting schemes to create problems in the lives of a young couple. The point is that on television, the equation between a husband and wife and their respective parents or families is often blown out of proportion to engage the audience. What The Folks is a breath of fresh air that aims to break stereotypes, talks about the generation gap and takes a more realistic approach towards the changing dynamics of modern families. The story revolves around Nikhil who moves in with his in-laws for a few days.

2. Permanent Roommates

Permanent roommates tell the story of Tanya and Mikesh who has been in a long-distance relationship for three years and they two moves in to figure out if they’d still be as wonderful in proximity as they were have been in a long-distance relationship. Surprising, no? People are comfortable living together and it turns to be messy and difficult to manage things. But here it is the opposite. They both were really comfortable living a long-distance relationship. Now let’s see what happens in the story. Oh, by the way, if you like this web series then do watch its second and third season too. It’s amazing and will make you laugh too.

3. Little things

Little Things is an Indian web television series by Pocket Aces. It features Mithila Palkar and Dhruv Sehgal in the lead roles. It first premiered on Pocket Aces’ channel Dice Media in October 2016 with five episodes. Netflix later purchased the franchise and its second season, with eight additional episodes, premiered on Netflix on 5 October 2018. A third season was released on 9 November 2019 by Netflix. So, it tells many lessons from life “Between the two big events — birth and death — a whole life is lived in smaller moments.” Watch this series on Youtube and Netflix, you’ll love this and get to learn a new perspective of handling things in life.

4. Please Find Attached

This mini-series is just a tale of sweet nothings shared between two colleagues who share a beautiful bond. With the entire story getting wrapped up in three episodes with a run time of 20-minutes each, this is just the kind of content that makes us stick to YouTube over everything else.

5. Soulmates

This 10-episode series features conversations between the two lead characters. The structure of the series is quite similar to the film Before Sunrise, not really in terms of the plot but the way their conversation flows. The show is quite binge-worthy as the characters and the conversations are quite engaging.


Undefeated – The Soldiers of Courage shows what the life of a soldier really is. This show is based on real-life heroes in uniform and the hardships they face to keep the country and its people safe. If the army life entices you, this show is a must-watch. Some of the stories talk about entire lives of soldiers, right from the day they had joined the army training till the time they retired.

7. Humoursly Your’s

Stand-up comedy is hilarious for sure but what we get to see is not the full picture. There is a lot that goes behind the scenes. Humorously yours is a projection on the personal life of stand-up comedians. Follow Vicky Goel, the protagonist who plays himself, as he shows the tedious journey of a comedian to glory. Humorously Yours is filled with jokes and appearances from some of the best stand-up comedians, who will make you laugh no matter how grumpy you are.

8. Pitchers

The Viral Fever’s (TVF) web series Pitchers, which was launched in 2015 on the company’s YouTube channel as well as their official TVF Play website, has gathered much acclaim, so much so it has made it into IMDB’s top 250 tv series list. The series follows the lives of four young professionals who quit their jobs in order to venture out into the wild entrepreneurial world. Each episode is 40 minutes long, on an average, but you’ll be left asking for more at the end of every one of them.

9. Tripling

It is a simple story about three siblings who embark on a road trip together — not by choice, but by force of circumstances. Plagued by an unstable marriage, divorce and joblessness, the trio finds solace in this journey as they head home to find comfort. The series gives an insight into the urban rat race that bothers a young fledgling mind and how the family is the answer to most of our problems.

10. Girl in the City

Girl in the City was one of the earlier series done by Mithila Palkar. Here, her character moves to Mumbai to achieve her dream of being a fashion designer but isn’t prepared for the harsh life of the city. Over the course of three seasons, we see her come into her own as she tries to establish her business while dealing with some brutal competitors and a confusing love life. This series has a total of 39 episodes. This is a must watch web series!
